My dad can beat up your dad!

We had a family exercise day at the track. The plan was Sam and I could workout while the girls played and ran around...it had to be better than wrangling them into a tiny room with 10 other kids while we run on treadmills!

It started out great, the girls ran around the track with me once while daddy did his warm up.

But then Ali needed a potty break...then Beau was hungry...then Ali needed another potty break. Daddy was getting a great workout while mommy was still on mom duty.

Then it hit me..."hey girls, let's go workout with daddy!!!"

Off they ran and started copying his every move. Not only that but they started cheering him on. I quickly ran to get a few laps in and they stayed! Mommy got a run in, daddy did his workout with a cheering squad, and the girls were exhausted when it was all over!

Successful trip to the track :)

BTW, daddy's workout this day was crossfit's Murph!
Run 1 mile
100 pull ups
200 pushups
300 squats
Run 1 mile
And not only did he finish, but he finished in 50 minutes!!! So, yeah, their dad can beat up your dad ;)

Girls jumping on trampolines

My girls really do LOVE jumping on our neighbors trampoline! Especially Ali, she pretty much asks for that for every reward, Beau asks for candy, Ali just wants to jump.

Trying to capture the pure joy they feel on this thing is impossible with a phone camera, but it's truly amazing to watch. And just when you think they can't get any cuter, they decide to pretend it's raining and need to protect each other :*)

They were saying, "We miss you daddy!"

Location:Honolulu, HI

Per the hubby's request I will be updating more often when he's out of town. I had no idea he read the blog until a conversation that went something like this...

Him: "so, this blog of yours...is there another one that you actually do update?"
Me: "huh? You read my blog?!?!" (shocked and flattered at the same time)
Him: "yeah, I checked it everyday when I was in Japan"
Me: sad face because I didn't post even once when he was gone "I'm sorry, I didn't think anyone but my mom read it"
Him: "I have read every word you have ever written"
Me: super sad face "well I promise I will post more, even if its only while you're gone!"
Him: "well I especially like the stories that make me seem funny, do more of those."

Oh Sammy. Only because I love you soooo much :)
